Out and About!

We have been out and about in London over the last week and have seen more of the sights. This is me in Grenwich where the prime meridian of east and west is. It is also where they created the first world time (I think in 1849) which most countries ago by (apart from France!!!). We also went to the market there with our flatmates Pierre and Vanessa.
The other picture is outside Number 10 Downie Street where the Prime Minister lives. He invited us in for coffee but we didn't have time so politely declined!!!! Hope everyone is well and happy. Love you lots, Aims and Chris xoxoxox

The Big Ben is not that Big, Yeah Right

Night Out with the Spence Family

Well Uncle Dennis is in town so the family got together (all those in London) and went out for dinner. We had a few drinks in a pub in Covent Garden called the Punch and Judy. Then we went to a very nice Belgium restaurant, that Sarah had been to before, for dinner. It was a really nice evening and great for us (esp Aims) to see some of the family. Poor Sarah and Matt were a little tired as they had been out partying the night before. Missing all the rest of the family.

These Legs are made for walking!!!!!!!!

Hey guys

Thanks Ange and Julie for the comments. It's always nice to hear from family and friends. We're not home sick yet though! We have been doing alot of walking the last couple of days. The one thing about not having the car is you do get fit. Aimee is on holidays at the moment so its nice with just the two of us hanging out. I should hopefully start work next week sometime. The Hospital I will be working at is called London Bridge Private, its right in the centre of London on the river Thames.

On Saturday we met Celeste (Aimee's friend) went to this awesome food market in the weekend at London Bridge called Borough Market. They had heaps of fresh food, meat, lots of cheese and yes Mary lots of blue cheese for us!!!!!!!! This is the market that Jamie Olivier does his shopping for his cooking. We also went to St Paul's to have a look but could not take any photos as our camera is broken. Luckily we got our other camera we ordered yesterday so we can now take lots of photos. Stay in touch.............................................

Miss you all
Love Chris and Aimee

Let it Snow, Let it Snow , Let it Snow !!!!!!!

Hey how is everyone doing? Well its been snowing this week and freezing cold!!! We have been in London now for two weeks and are both loving it? We are slowly taking in the sites and catching up with friends. We met Andrew and Ruth in Hyde park and went and had coffee. They are really good, doing lots of traveling and working hard. We seem to be drinking alot of coffee over here because it is so cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!. London is such an awesome place, so old with lots of history to go with it. Aimee has been working hard and I hopefully can start my new job this week some time. Seen lots of things to buy but will have to wait till we have some money.

Missing all of you !!!!

Yah London Baby

After a 14 hour flight we flew into Heathrow and man is it COLD over here!!!!! We got picked up from the airport by this crazy Pakistani taxi drive - we are lucky to be alive as he nearly crashed twice on the way to our accomodation. So we got through the thousands of people (foreign, not english) in the airport, a two hour taxi ride and finally got to our new home around 6pm.
Our house is in a very good location, close to the tube station and bus stops. It has 5 bedrooms and there will be 6 other people living with us. 5 of them are South African and 1 is Canadian. The South African couple are yet to arrive but the rest of our housemates are really nice. We are all teachers, apart from Chris of course!
London city is awesome, so much older and bigger than any city we have seen. We have spent the week getting over jetlag and learning how to get around on public transport. I started work on Wed and Chris has been all round London looking for work.
